Model Settings in Brief:
- Press minus (-) for 3 seconds = switch between reticle options (Multi Reticle System / MRS models).
- Press plus (+) for 3-4 seconds = switch between different system settings; auto (only for solar models), static, manual. The dot will blink when the setting changes.
- Press both (- / +) simultaneously = turn off the sight.
- Press plus (+) for over 5 seconds = reset the sight to factory settings.
FAQs regarding Holosun models:
- The reticle won't turn on? > Check the battery orientation. Positive side down if the battery compartment has 2 screws on a horizontal plane. Positive side out if it's a round protruding battery compartment.
- Is the front lens angled? > This is normal. Red dots need to have an angled lens to reflect the dot correctly to the user.
- Shake awake feature isn’t working? > If you turn the red dot off by pressing both buttons, the shake awake setting won’t stay on. Keep the dot on and allow it to go into sleep mode for shake awake to function.
- Automatic setting? > In this setting, the optics' brightness adjusts according to the environment; brighter in daylight, dimmer in low light. There is separate day and night vision automation. These function automatically.
- Manual setting? > In this setting, use the + and - buttons. Works solely on a battery.
- Dot looks blurry or odd? > 1. Look through the dot at the target, do not focus on the dot itself. 2. Adjust brightness according to the environment. 3. Get your eyesight checked!
- Is there reflection visible in the lens? > Some degree of reflection is normal, and varies in different environments. More reflections are seen indoors and in hand, and less in brighter conditions. Test and use accordingly for the right purpose!
