The Garmin Tactix 8 51mm Solar Elite is a tactical smartwatch that operates with solar charging. This watch features a titanium bezel and an always-on, solar-powered 1.4" transreflective MIP color display, protected by an exceptionally durable Power Sapphire glass.

The Garmin Tactix 8 Solar Elite version is specifically designed for hunters, military personnel, police, or other authorities, as well as outdoor enthusiasts living an active lifestyle. The watch includes a premium preloaded Applied Ballistics Elite software that overcomes challenges in long-range shooting. You can connect the Applied Ballistics program to your phone and synchronize all Applied Ballistics products simultaneously (AB Quantum). There’s no need to maintain separate profiles for your watch and phone. The watch comes with two straps; a tactical black nylon strap and a black/grey silicone strap – swap straps to match your desired sporting activity or everyday use. The watch features new multi-band GPS and SatIQ™ technology, along with internal sensors: a 3-axis compass, gyroscope, and barometric altimeter. A built-in multi-colored LED flashlight brightens your path with either green or white light. The strobe function also adjusts to your running pace.

The Garmin Tactix 8 includes special tactical features such as rucking training (walking a set distance with weight in a backpack), a Jumpmaster function that calculates high-altitude parachuting drop zones, waypoint projection, two GPS location modes, a Kill Switch button that erases the watch's memory, and a stealth mode that halts GPS location recording and sharing while disabling wireless connections and communications, compatible with night vision equipment in NVG mode. Additionally, you gain access to aviation weather data such as NEXRAD radar data and METAR/TAF reports, showing you winds, visibility, and pressure.
