KARSKI XL sliding snowshoes combine snowshoeing and backcountry skiing. They are ideally suited for all types of backcountry skiing in various conditions. On flat and minimally snowy terrains, they allow for traditional skiing, while in snow-covered forests they glide smoothly due to their short and lightweight design, making it easy to lift over obstacles. The high-quality grip-fur base, manufactured in Europe, provides traction during the push-off phase, while the tip and tail offer sufficient glide during the glide phase. Their compact length ensures easy and quick turns, easier than longer forest skis. The KARSKI bindings can also serve as carrying handles when the sliding snowshoes are secured together. No special ski boots are required, as the bindings can be attached to nearly any footwear. KARSKI bindings allow for heel lift, providing additional flexibility. High-cut, ankle-supporting outdoor boots perform well on downhill sections too. The tapered back of the snowshoe allows for better control while turning.
