SURVIVAL KNIFE BLADE
The sharp, durable blade measuring 15 cm is easy to sharpen again when necessary.
Typically, carbon steel is prone to corrosion and rusts easily without proper care. However, for the survival knife, the properties of carbon steel, such as corrosion resistance, have been enhanced with various coatings.
A hard yet resilient blade, along with versatile sharpening, makes the survival knife an effective tool for any situation. However, it is not a striking tool, so larger logs should be processed with an axe. It is suitable for smaller wood tasks and clearing underbrush.
The blade features a PTFE/Teflon coating that protects carbon steel from rust and reduces friction and debris adhesion. This coating also meets food safety certification requirements. This feature is appreciated by everyone handling food, game, or fish with the knife.
SURVIVAL KNIFE HANDLE
The ergonomic handle of the survival knife is designed to perform regardless of conditions. Textured for grip and comfort; this handle stays securely in hand even when wet, and it doesn’t feel cold in chilly weather.
TPV (thermoplastic vulcanizate) does not absorb moisture and is resistant to chemicals and temperature shifts. The material withstands impacts and wear nearly indefinitely.
SURVIVAL KNIFE SHEATH
One of the standout features of the survival knife is its innovative sheath design. Thanks to the rubber roll mechanism, the knife sits securely in the sheath, but can be quickly retrieved with one hand when necessary, assisted by the thumb. The sheath’s Velcro strap is compatible with MOLLE and PALS systems, providing numerous carry options. Carry the survival knife on backpack straps or in a vest. Sometimes it may be necessary to carry the knife differently than usual. The sheath allows for even upside-down carry, such as in combat gear.
The leather sheath provides a traditional alternative alongside the composite option. A leather sheath is available separately for left-handed users. A version adorned with the Lion coat of arms, embodying Finnish spirit, is also available.
