BLADE OF THE SURVIVAL KNIFE
The sharp, long-lasting blade with a length of 15 cm can be easily sharpened when necessary.
Typically, carbon steel is prone to corrosion and rusts easily without proper care. However, in the case of this survival knife, the characteristics of carbon steel, such as corrosion resistance, have been enhanced with various coatings. This knife features a cerakote finish.
The hard yet resilient blade and versatile sharpening make the survival knife a tool that works in any situation. However, it should not be used as a striking tool; for larger logs, it is wiser to process them with an axe. It is suitable for smaller woods and brush clearing as well.
HANDLE OF THE SURVIVAL KNIFE
The ergonomic handle of the survival knife is designed to perform regardless of the conditions. Texture, grip, and comfortable feel ensure that this handle remains securely in your hand even when wet, and it does not feel cold in cooler weather.
TPV (thermoplastic vulcanizate) does not absorb moisture, nor is it susceptible to chemicals or temperature changes. The material withstands knocks and wear nearly indefinitely.
SHEATH OF THE SURVIVAL KNIFE
One of the standout features of the survival knife is its innovative sheath solution. Thanks to the rubber roller mechanism, the knife fits securely in its sheath but can be drawn out quickly with one hand, assisted by a thumb. The sheath’s Velcro-mounted belt loop is compatible with MOLLE and PALS systems, providing ample carrying options. Carry the survival knife on the straps of a backpack or on a vest. Sometimes it may be necessary to hang the knife differently than usual. The sheath of the survival knife even allows for upside-down carrying, such as in combat gear.
The Kydex sheath is crafted by Lithuanian TRC Knives. Although it does not feature the familiar roller mechanism found in composite and leather sheaths, the Kydex sheath secures the survival knife firmly and allows for quick deployment when necessary. The durable and waterproof sheath conveniently attaches to the user’s belt.
