The Blackbeard X takes dry fire practice to a new level by offering resetting trigger, visual motion detection, and clear guidance on areas for improvement.
This product combines two of Mantis's outstanding products: Blackbeard + MantisX = BlackbeardX.
In addition to static analysis, this device provides tools to analyze dynamic movement through visual imagery and numerical data.
You can see and improve every aspect of your shooting, from the efficiency of the weapon's movement to delays in trigger pull and target transitions.

The device connects to your smartphone/tablet via Bluetooth. The Blackbeard X is installed in place of the bolt carrier group, the magazine is inserted to provide power, and the device is ready to use in just a minute.
Operation is easy and straightforward, offering a comprehensive training experience that is unmatched!

The Blackbeard X provides scoring analysis from 0-100, based on three different factors.
1) Trigger Delay. Most shooters experience a trigger delay that is unnecessarily long once the target is already in their sights. This data tells you how much faster you could shoot with the same accuracy.
2)Overtravel. During target transitions, it is often typical that the firearm is over-aimed past the target before returning to take the shot. The data indicates the amount of unnecessary movement and time taken by the shooter.
3) Line of Movement Between Targets. The fastest line is a straight line. The further you deviate from a straight line, the poorer the performance. Speed improves the more efficient, or straighter, the line is.

Combining and understanding these three pieces of visual and numerical data highlights the areas that need the most refinement in training.

Comparison
Using the software, you can compare your results with previous training sessions or with those of another shooter. Each aspect we discussed can be compared side by side on the screen, providing the best understanding of strengths and weaknesses.

View how changes in speed impact movement.
Split Times
The program provides extremely accurate and comprehensive data on split times. Time between shots is broken down into separate segments. You can observe and analyze post-trigger delay, target transition time, and how long the sight was already on the target before the shot.
Additional Settings
From the app settings, you can adjust parameters such as acceptable trigger delay, striker delay, and par times.
